Trudy's Short Bread
Ingredients
- 500g Flour
- 500g Butter
- 175g Caster Sugar
- 175g Cornflour
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Beat the butter and sugar.
- Combine the flour, cornflour and salt
- Slowly add the dry mixture to the butter, mixing continuously
- Put mixture onto a floured, flat surface and need for 5 minutes
- Grease a baking tray (at least 38cm x 26cm x 1.5cm)
- Spread the mixture onto the tray and score the top with a fork
- Place in the fridge for 1 hour
- Preheat oven to 160C
- Place tray in oven for 30 to 35 min
- Remove from oven and immediately slice into squares
- Sprinkle with Caster sugar
- Place on a rack to cool
