Steamed Castle Pudding
Ingredients
- Jam
- 3 oz (85g) Margerine
- 3 oz (85g) Sugar
- 5 oz (140g) Flour
- 1 egg
- milk
- vanilla essence
Method
- Grease moulds and put a little jam in each
- Cream the sugar and marge in a bowl
- Beat in the egg
- Add the flour
- Mix with enough milk to give a dropping consistency
- Add a few drops of vanilla essence and mix it in
- Share mixture out amonst the moulds
- Cover moulds with grease proof baking powder
- Steam for about 40min
- Turn out and serve with jam
