Spotted Dog
Ingredients
- 4 oz (115g) Flour
- 4 oz (115g) Bread crumbs
- 3-4 oz (100g) Suet
- 3 oz (85g) Currents
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- pinch of salt
- milk or water for mixing
Method
- Grate the suet
- Sieve the flour, salt and baking powder
- Add bread crumbs, suet and currents
- Mix to a soft dropping consistencey with milk (or water)
- Turn into a greased basin (or pudding steamer), cover with grease proof baking paper
- steam for 2-3 hours
