Icing Recipes

Ingredients

Butter Icing

  • 125g Margerine
  • 250g Icing Sugar

Glace Icing

  • 250g Icing Sugar
  • 3tsp Warm Water
  • Flavouring or colouring as desired

Royal Icing

  • 500g Icing Sugar
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 2 drops of Lemon Juice
  • 2 drops of Gycerine

Marzipan

  • 125g Icing sugar
  • 125g Caster Sugar
  • 250g ground Almonds
  • 1 egg beaten

Method

Butter Icing

  1. Add all ingredients together in a bowl
  2. Beat very well

Glace Icing

  1. Add all dry ingredients to bowl
  2. Add a little water at a time
  3. Mix well

Royal Icing

  1. Add all ingredients together in a bowl
  2. Mix very well

Marzipan

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl
  2. Mix well until the paste forms a ball
  3. Remove from bowl
  4. Knead lightly and roll out on castor sugar sprinkled on a flat surface
