Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 0.5 lb (225g) bread and crust (stale bread is fine)
- 3 oz (85g) Currents
- 0.5 pint (285ml) milk
- 1 egg
- 3 oz (85g) Margerine
- 2 oz (56g) Brown Sugar
- 0.5 tsp Mixed Spice
Method
- Preheat oven to 400F (204C)
- Grease an oven proof dish
- Melt the margerine
- Cover bread in cold water then squeeze the water out
- Mix bread with all the dry ingredients
- Add margerine and milk and mix well
- Put the mixture into the greased dish and bake for 45min
- Sprinke with sugar
- Serve with sugar.
